Ronaldo accused of tax evasion

The Spanish court has accused the club of tax evasion against Messi for a long time. After Messi became guilty, the Spanish Prosecutor's path was broadened to make a tax evasion case against Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Spanish court has accused the Real Madrid Superstar Ronaldo of tax evasion 14.7 million euros. Ronaldo has been accused of tax evasion in Madrid's criminal prosecution system On Tuesday, the criminal crime department of Madrid's Provincial Office filed a complaint against Ronaldo. Ronaldo has been charged with four offenses from 2011 to 2014.

The prosecution claims Ronaldo has not paid 14.7 million euros for the Spanish tax authority in four years.

Ronaldo will have to pay more than three times to face a long-term legal battle like Barcelona's rival Lionel Messi.

Messi was sentenced to 21 months in a single verdict last year for tax evasion. But Messi did not have to go to jail for a day. Because of non-violent crime under Spanish law and anyone less than 2 years sentence is not imprisoned. Messi and his lawyers, however, are going to reduce tax amounts to appeal.
